Philippine Embassy Hosts Beirut Marathon Association’s Road Show

BEIRUT - The Philippine Embassy in Lebanon, welcomed representatives of the Beirut Marathon Association (BMA) in the Embassy Chancery on 2 March 2025.

BMA representatives, Maya Jaroudy and Anna Maria El Khoury, Outreach Coordinator and Outreach Manager respectively, went to the Philippine Embassy to reach out to 40 members of the Filipino Community for interested runners and volunteers.
In their presentation they discussed about the different training programs that the organization offers such as the 542, a 5-month training program for those interested in running a full marathon, an Ability Program for para-athletes to complete a half-marathon, the 510, a 5-week training program for the Women’s 10KM run and Blind with Vision a program for the visually-impaired.
The BMA partners with different non-governmental organizations to raise funds for different causes while promoting good health under the Sustainable Development Goals. They also invited everyone to sign-up for the annual Beirut Marathon that will be happening on 4 May 2025 with this year’s theme ‘Let’s Run from the Finish to Start.’
The Embassy affirms its commitment to promote public and cultural diplomacy through sports for the physical and mental health and overall wellbeing of the Filipinos residing in Lebanon.
