PH Embassy Commemorates 128th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal

BEIRUT - The Philippine Embassy in Lebanon commemorated the 128th anniversary of the martyrdom of our national hero, through a wreath-laying ceremony at the Chancery’s Sentro Rizal.

The Philippine Embassy personnel commemorates the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal at the Chancery’s Sentro Rizal.

Displayed beside Dr. Jose P. Rizal’s bust are the Embassies’ copies of his two most notable works, the Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo as well as other novels that follow the national hero’s life.

With the theme, “Rizal in the New Philippines: Life and Teachings as our Guide,” Post takes the opportunity to remember Dr. Rizal’s life and look to his works to act as our guide in living our own lives as public servants, as we pursue his challenge towards a free and progressive Philippines.
