The Philippine Embassy in Lebanon successfully conducted consular outreach programs in Broumana and Tripoli, Lebanon, on 11 and 18 February 2024, respectively. These initiatives were carried out in collaboration with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Migrant Workers Office (MWO), as part of the Embassy’s contingency plan to ensure the welfare and preparedness of Filipino nationals amidst ongoing tensions in the region.

The consular outreach programs aimed to provide essential documentation and support services to Filipino nationals residing in Lebanon. Services rendered during the outreach included passport applications, civil registration, notarial, visa, overseas voting registration, and welfare support. The collaborative efforts between the Embassy, OWWA, and MWO ensured the smooth and efficient delivery of services to the Filipino community.

In light of the current situation in Lebanon, the consular outreach programs play a crucial role in ensuring that Filipino nationals who live outside the greater Beirut area have the necessary documentation and support to navigate any potential challenges that may arise. The Embassy remains committed to providing assistance and support to the Filipino community, especially during times of uncertainty.

Furthermore, the Embassy announces its continued provision of services in various areas in Lebanon throughout the year. Updates and schedules regarding upcoming outreach activities will be communicated through the Embassy’s official website and social media accounts.
