28 January 2024 - H.E. Raymond R. Balatbat welcomed the Filipino Community representatives during a meeting to discuss situation updates and the Filipino Community Group registration. The Embassy held the regular meeting to keep FilCom groups informed and to respond to pressing concerns. The proposed events for 2024 was also discussed to be able to synchronize the Embassy and the FilCom groups’ planned activities for CY 2024.
Third Secretary and Vice Consul Miko D. Cabatingan updated attending Filipino Community Leaders regarding the the current situation in Lebanon and the Embassy’s contingency efforts. The Filipino community is reminded of their importance as representatives in establishing communication and coordination lines between the Embassy and the Filipino migrants in Lebanon.
The Embassy enjoins FilCom groups to register and align their programs with its public and cultural diplomacy activities and to serve as coordinators for all other Filipinos residing in Lebanon.
