9 August 2023 - The Philippine Embassy, along with the Indonesian and Malaysian Embassies in Lebanon, organized a bowling tournament in celebration of the 56th anniversary of the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The ASEAN embassies organized a friendly tournament to further enhance the spirit of camaraderie and friendship among the embassies’ personnel. In his message, H.E. Ambassador Raymond R. Balatbat expressed the importance of these events to truly imbibe the ASEAN spirit among members.

In the said tournament, the Philippines Embassy’s bowling team finished in second place behind the Indonesian Embassy. Players were awarded medals and a trophy for the winning team. ASEAN Embassies agreed henceforth to hold the tournament annually, as this is the second time the event was held.
