8 February 2023 - The Philippine Embassy in Lebanon facilitated the repatriation of seven (7) distressed Filipino nationals during the first week of February 2023 which included one (1) detainee, two (2) shelter wards, and four (4) undocumented workers.

The Embassy facilitated their clearances with immigration liabilities due to their undocumented status in the country. The current batch of repatriates is part of the Embassy’s commitment to continue extending assistance to distressed Filipinos in Lebanon given the deteriorating socioeconomic conditions in the country which greatly affect vulnerable migrant workers.
