The Philippine Embassy in Lebanon joins the 18-day campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) with the theme “United for a VAW-Free Philippines”.
In support of the Philippine Government’s campaign to end violence against women, the Philippine Embassy in Lebanon conducted activities such as seminar, film showing, photo booth, and distribution of information materials relating to VAW.
Together, let’s fight for a VAW-free Philippines!

25 November 2022 to 12 December 2022:
- Post decorated the premises and updated the social media page of the Embassy in line with the Anti-VAWC campaign theme.
- Post visited the Filipino community in Zahle, Lebanon to discuss concerns of the Filipino community in remote areas of Lebanon.
- Post distributed bookmarks with information on basic laws protecting women and children
- Played VAW-related short films in the waiting area of the Embassy
- Set up a photo booth area supporting the 18-day campaign
- Post conducted a seminar on labor rights and mental health awareness for Filipino nationals in Lebanon. The activity also included a legal and mental health consultation and introduced partner organizations protecting the rights of women and children.
