02 December 2022 -  The Philippine Embassy in Lebanon, headed by Ambassador Raymond Balatbat, along with representatives from the DFA’s Office of Migrant Workers Affairs led by Deputy Assitant Secretary Kristine Leilanie Salle, held a community engagement with Filipino workers in Zahle, Lebanon on 30 November 2022.

Zahle, 70 kilometers from Beirut, is home to nearly 250 Filipino migrant workers. During the meeting, the Embassy discussed upcoming programs and activities to better improve the delivery of services to Filipino nationals while the community leaders also discussed various concerns.

The Embassy also visited a Filipino detainee in Zahle to extend legal and welfare assistance.
