23 December 2021 -  The Philippine Embassy's ATN team conducted prison visits to the nine (9) Filipino nationals currently detained in various prison facilities across Lebanon, in celebration of the Christmas season.

Cooked food package, donated clothing items, and hygiene kits were delivered to each detained national. The detainees were found in high spirits and expressed appreciation for the assistance extended to them during the yuletide season, not to mention that most prison facilities are currently encountering difficulties in providing basic necessities to detainees due to the ongoing economic crisis in the country.

With the recent donation of food parcels and hygiene kits from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in December 2021 for Migrant Workers and Other Overseas Filipinos Resource Center (MWOFRC) shelter wards, the Embassy arranged with shelter managers to extend the distribution of donated goods to detainees as allowed by their respective prison facilities.
