06 December 2021 - The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Lebanon renewed its partnership with  KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation (KAFA) to intensify efforts in extending assistance to distressed Filipino migrants.

KAFA is a Lebanese civil, non-governmental, non-profit organization (NGO) providing social, legal, and psychological support to women and children who have been victims of violence. Since 2018, the Embassy and KAFA has been working together for the purpose of eliminating different forms of exploitation and violence against women and children, especially migrants.

To support KAFA’s shelter expansion, the Embassy donated fifteen (15) double decker beds. KAFA has previously provided shelter and legal assistance for Filipino nationals who were victims of violence.

The renewal of said partnership is also aligned with the Philippine government’s 18-day campaign to raise awareness on ending Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC). END
