18 July 2021.  Ambassador Raymond Balatbat held a meeting with members of the Filipino Community (FilCom) on 18 July 2021 at the Philippine Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon.  The meeting was the first between Ambassador Balatbat and the FilCom leaders after the former presented his credentials to President Michel Aoun on 9 June 2021.

The meeting provided an opportunity for Ambassador Balatbat to update the leaders of the FilCom with the on-going programs of the Embassy, such as the mass repatriation program.  He also explained the importance of the on-line registration of Overseas Filipinos (OFs) in Lebanon, as well as briefed them on the new work schedule of the Embassy implemented since 1 July 2021 (Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).  Finally, he urged OFs to avail of the free vaccination offered by the Lebanese government to both locals and foreigners alike.  END
