Lady Ambassadors accredited to Lebanon discussed environmental issues with Hon. Samar Malek, acting head of Service of Environment Technology and UNFCCC focal point for Lebanon on 9 November. Mrs. Malek gave a briefing on Lebanon's challenges and latest achievements in dealing with issues on climate change, air quality, waste management and environment protection.
The group had a frank, relaxed and meaningful exchange over Filipino lunch hosted by Philippine Ambassador Bernardita L. Catalla at the Philippine Embassy Chancery.
The lunch meeting offered the lady envoys the opportunity to explore ways to cooperate in addressing Lebanon's most pressing environmental concerns.
The Filipino luncheon meeting was attended by the following envoys: Ambassadors of (L-R) Canada, United States of America, Finland, Colombia, Denmark, Cyprus, Philippines, Czech Republic, Head of MFAE Protocol, Switzerland, and Chile; Deputy Chief of Mission of Uruguay, Acting head of Environment Technology, Australia, and Sri Lanka (not in photo).
