Ambassador Catalla is welcomed by H.E. Doumit

24 November 2017 – Philippine Ambassador to Lebanon Bernardita L. Catalla paid a courtesy call on the Director of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon H.E. Assaf Doumit yesterday, 23 November 2017.

During her call, Ambassador Catalla briefed H.E. Doumit on Embassy initiatives to enhance economic and socio-cultural linkages as well as cultural projects to strengthen mutual understanding and appreciation between Filipinos and the Lebanese people. Ambassador Catalla informed the Lebanese official of her mission to help facilitate the conclusion of the negotiations on the Standard Employment Contract (SEC) for household service workers since a Memorandum of Understanding on Labor had been signed between the Philippines and Lebanon in 2012. H.E. Doumit on the other hand expressed his hope that the SEC will be concluded soon. - END
